This year rather than grinch our way through the Halloween season, we decided to fully embrace the holiday and *gasp* even attend the ward party, which we've been avoiding for 5 years now. Dare I say it, we had a really good time getting our costumes ready and we didn't even buy the worst candy in the world this year. We didn't quite get any other Halloween things or pumpkins since, as Scott put it, "we'll just have to throw them away," but it's a step in the holiday-celebrating direction.
At the ward party, we were super surprised to find that we won not only part of the costume contest, but also my chili took first place! The jokes on them, however, because that was actually only my 2nd best chili. Hahahahahahhahahaha.
Anyway! Yay for Halloween. I have some awesome ideas for costumes in future years, which is good since the bar is now set kind of high. Let's all hope Ivy doesn't develop opinions for a few more years.
Since we're obsessed with family videos, why not have a Halloween one. :)
