We spent the majority of our Independence Day traveling back from San Diego this year. It wasn't the most patriotic of days, but we did let Ivy stay up late to see the fireworks and she liked it for...a few minutes. As with most things, she was largely unimpressed by them overall. Ah well. You win some, you lose a lot as a parent.
